Our focus was the highly carved pinnacle – an exact copy of the original (allowing for some artistic interpretation, which has always been part of the tradition) had to be made from Guiting Limestone. This took six months.

The former home of Sir Charles Rolls required some dressed masonry to match the old work. The limestone we used is from the Cotswolds

FOUNTAIN

 

The fountain/water bowl is made from stone-ground limestone and worked so that a jet of water can be brought up through the middle of the stem into, and slowly over, the rim of the bowl.
